Early Intervention Services
Evaluations
Comprehensive developmental evaluations conducted as part of the process to determine eligibility for Early Intervention.
Service Coordination
Helping families navigate the Early Intervention Program, coordinate services, and understand the support and resources available for the child and family.
Occupational Therapy
Supporting fine motor skills, sensory development, self-care, play and participation in everyday activities.
Physical Therapy
Support with movement, strength, balance and coordination.
Speech & Language Therapy
Supporting communication, understanding and use of language, and speech development.
Feeding Therapy
Support with feeding skills and everyday mealtime routines.
Special Instruction
Support with learning, play and everyday skills, based on your child’s needs.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Individualized behavioral and developmental support provided in accordance with the child’s Early Intervention plan.
Nutrition Services
Guidance about nutrition and your child’s nutritional needs.

Counseling, information and help finding resources for your family.

THE EARLY INTERVENTION PROCESS
How Early Intervention Works
Make a referral
Contact our team by phone or complete our online referral form. Families and professionals can use either option to begin the referral process with our team.
Evaluation
After referral, the Early Intervention process includes an evaluation to determine whether the child is eligible for the program.
Individualized plan
If the child is eligible, the family and Early Intervention team develop an Individualized Family Service Plan, or IFSP, based on the child’s developmental needs and the family’s priorities.
Services
The municipality authorizes services identified through the IFSP process, and qualified Early Intervention professionals provide those services in accordance with the plan.
